WHAT TO BRING

It is always tempting to bring your cat's favourite toy, blanket, bed. However, we provide everything your cat could possibly need or want. If you feel strongly about bringing something familiar for your cat, please ensure that your name is clearly marked on the item in permanent ink. Keep in mind, we wash all bedding in a sterilize cycle so whatever you bring must be able to withstand extremely high temperatures.

SENIOR CATS

We are often asked which is better, hotel or in-home sitting and we believe it depends very much on your cat and the length of time you are planning to be away. Senior cats (those over the age of 12) often have a wonderful time here at the hotel, however we believe strongly that a cat over a certain age is often best cared for in the comfort of their own homes. While we have many cats that come here well over the age of 20, we ask that you consult your veterinarian if you have any concerns prior to boarding your senior cat. The alternative, in-home sitting, may be the better option for your 17-year-old.

At the Cat's Pyjamas we believe it's best if cats can enjoy a cage-free, stress-free, home style environment. We provide cats with all the things they are accustomed to in their own homes. Toys, window ledges, pillows, cozy beds and tons and tons of human interaction.

Smokey and friends5 Star Treatment

Cat's boarded at The Cat's Pyjamas will enjoy the best of everything. We feed only high quality, no preservative, organic foods such as Triumph, Wellness, Nutrience and Eagle Pack. The cat's have their very own satellite TV and radio to keep them entertained. Our new second floor outdoor play area is a wonderful diversion for the cat that loves nature watching. This is an fully enclosed area under the bough of a great big tree where the cats can watch the birds and take a bit of sun.

Outdoor Run

This second story area is 100% safe, secure and, according to the cats - FABULOUS. The cats now have the ability to sit in the sun, under a mature maple tree and watch all the birds and just bask in the sunshine. Built by Kris at The Cat's Den this run created unique challenges in that it had to be easily accessible to all cats in residence at The Cat's Pyjamas and be totally safe and secure. We are thrilled with the result and are planning Phase II of the run some time in the summer.

Our Qualifications

We have been in the "cat business" for over 30 years. Our expertise comes out of vast experience. All staff are fully trained and meet our high criteria for cat care. We have 24 hour a day veterinarians on-call and immediate access to the Veterinary Emergency Clinic should the need arise.
